Abstract

This article provides an in-depth linguistic analysis of the evolution of the Balochi language, tracing its historical roots, structural development, and sociolinguistic significance. Balochi, a member of the Iranian branch of the Indo-Iranian language family, has undergone significant changes over centuries, influenced by various cultural, political, and geographical factors. This study examines the phonological, morphological, and syntactic changes that have occurred in Balochi, as well as the role of Balochi in the socio-political landscapes of Balochistan, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. The article also highlights the challenges faced by Balochi in preserving its linguistic heritage amidst pressures from dominant languages in the region.
