This article examines the complex interplay between nuclear safety, protective measures, and the role of linguistic discourse in enhancing or undermining public awareness of nuclear risks. Nuclear safety is a critical issue in ensuring the protection of both human populations and the environment from the detrimental effects of radiation. Protective measures, including technological safeguards, government policies, and emergency preparedness protocols, play a pivotal role in mitigating these risks. However, the effectiveness of these measures is heavily influenced by the language used in communicating risks and safety protocols to the public. This study explores how different cultural, political, and social contexts shape the linguistic discourse around nuclear safety and how it impacts the effectiveness of safety communication strategies. The paper also highlights global and local perspectives on nuclear safety and proposes recommendations for improving communication to ensure better public understanding and response in the event of nuclear emergencies.
