Abstract

Radiation has long been studied in the fields of biology, health, and environmental sciences, yet its linguistic dimensions in shaping public understanding remain underexplored. This article examines the biological and health effects of radiation through a linguistic perspective, analyzing how discourse frames perceptions of risk, safety, and medical implications. By integrating scientific findings with linguistic inquiry, the study highlights the intersection of health communication, media narratives, and public awareness. The research further investigates the cultural and societal contexts in which radiation-related terminologies and metaphors influence risk perception and policy communication. The findings suggest that linguistic analysis can improve public health literacy, foster effective communication strategies, and mitigate fear-driven narratives.
