Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between digital transformation maturity and sustainable organizational performance, emphasizing the mediating role of green process innovation and the moderating influence of regulatory pressure. Drawing on sustainability and innovation management theories, the study aims to understand how organizations leverage digital capabilities to enhance environmental and operational outcomes. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to firms actively engaged in digitalization and sustainability initiatives. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to analyze the hypothesized relationships and assess the model fit. The results reveal that digital transformation maturity has a significant positive impact on sustainable organizational performance, indicating that firms with advanced digital capabilities are better equipped to achieve long-term sustainability goals. Moreover, green process innovation was found to mediate this relationship, suggesting that digital transformation enhances sustainability outcomes through the adoption of environmentally responsible processes and technologies. Regulatory pressure was observed to moderate the relationship between digital transformation maturity and sustainable organizational performance, highlighting that external institutional forces amplify the effectiveness of digital strategies in achieving sustainability objectives. The study contributes to the growing body of literature by integrating digital maturity and sustainability perspectives within a single analytical framework.
