This research examines Jennifer Saint's Ariadne through the lens of the monomyth. Exploring the hero's journey and the archetypes that surround it, the study focuses on Araidne's development from a naive, marginalized individual to an independent, powerful one. The qualitative analysis delves into how self-discovery, autonomy, and reconciliation are reflected in her journey by examining significant phases of the Hero's Journey: the separation, initiation, and return. Ariadne's journey to independence came at a great cost. She was torn between her duty to her family and her kingdom, and the longing to live life on her own terms. In the end, the need to be true to herself was so strong that she made the painful choice to walk away from her father's plans and the only home she'd ever known. Ultimately, Ariadne's journey is not just a physical one but also internal, where she reconciles her identity as a mortal and the wife of God Dionysus, granting her divine recognition, leading to self-acceptance. Her transformation to a constellation after her death grants her the power of a Goddess whom the women call for guidance during suffering and childbirth. Ariadne challenges the traditional portrayal of women in Greek mythologies as ones who only follow the laws created by men and their commands, by overcoming the challenges in her way to become strong, even after being abandoned.
