The current study aims to analysis traumatic childhood, emotional neglect, and loyalty and its effects on adult relationships and psychological development. With Hasan and Heathcliff’s characters, the study offers a compelling case study of the enduring effects of childhood traumas on adult life. The Kite Runner (2003) and Wuthering Heights (1847) are selected to present as a representation of childhood traumas and their effects on individuals in apathetic societies. It explores the psychological dynamics of trauma and emotional neglect through the case study of Hasan and Heathcliff. This study will examine the prominent experiences of trauma and emotional neglect that these characters experienced through a comparative analysis. Trauma and attachment theory include physical and emotional abuse, abandonment, and social rejection. It will also look at how these experiences have affected their relationships, mental health, and general quality of life over time. The overall goal of this research is to promote a better understanding of the complex psychological mechanisms of emotional mistreatment, childhood traumas, and loyalty, as well as to develop ways to assist people who have experienced trauma and emotional neglect. This thesis provides a sophisticated understanding of the complex relationships between trauma, emotional neglect, and psychological development from a critical and broad perspective. It combines literary analysis with psychological understanding of humans. It has been found that works like The Kite Runner (2003) and Wuthering Heights (1847) are promoting the beneficial understanding of violence and abuse in humans. This kind of work shows that minds are bound to their so-called societal norms.
