Abstract

Extremism has emerged as a major challenge for both Muslim and non-Muslim societies in the twenty-first century. Radical ideologies, violent movements, and distorted interpretations of religion not only harm the image of Islam but also create instability and social fragmentation worldwide. Muslim youth, who constitute a significant proportion of the global Muslim population, have a critical role to play in resisting extremist narratives and promoting peaceful alternatives. Through education, community engagement, digital activism, interfaith collaboration, and leadership initiatives, young Muslims can act as vital agents of positive change. This article explores the multifaceted role of Muslim youth in countering extremism, drawing from Islamic teachings, contemporary realities, and practical initiatives to highlight their transformative potential in shaping a more peaceful and just society.
