Abstract

This article explores the multifaceted dimensions of unfulfillment in his works, analyzing how different forms of unfulfilled desires reveal existential crises and impact reality. This futility is what appears before us in various forms in the selected stories of Ashfaq Ahmed. Sometimes we succeed in giving it a name, sometimes we fail. Ashfaq Ahmed does not make the hustle and bustle of life a creative inspiration, but for him, a life lived in a lighthearted manner becomes a creative experience. Ashfaq Ahmed’s short stories, particularly in ‘Ujlay Phool’, revolve around the central theme of unfulfillment as a fundamental aspect of human existence. This article explores the multifaceted dimensions of unfulfillment in his works, analyzing how different forms of unfulfilled desires reveal existential crises and impact human reality.
