Abstract

E-commerce and digital trade have revolutionized regional economies by fostering connectivity, inclusivity, and efficiency. This paper explores how digital marketplaces and cross-border online trade have transformed regional economies, particularly in developing nations like Pakistan. It evaluates the mechanisms through which digital platforms enhance market access, encourage entrepreneurship, and attract foreign investment. The research also investigates policy frameworks, technological enablers, and socio-economic challenges associated with digital transformation. Through an analytical lens, this study concludes that sustainable growth in e-commerce depends on digital literacy, cybersecurity, and harmonized trade regulations
