Abstract

Green finance encompasses all financial services provided by the state and the financial sector to invest in initiatives aimed at reducing the negative environmental impact caused by an activity or delivering environmental benefits. It represents green growth through the financing of projects that respect ecological balance. It also includes all financial actions and operations that promote the energy and ecological transition and the fight against climate change. The objective of this article is to highlight the contribution of finance to environmental protection and the fight against climate change. Actions have been carried out through financial incentive measures via public funds and the involvement of the financial system, without overlooking the role that environmental taxation can play in environmental protection and the energy transition.
