The aim of the research was to identify the effect of high-intensity interval training exercises and to determine their impact on certain physical and skill abilities of boxing players. The researcher used the experimental method with a design of two equivalent groups (experimental and control) as a suitable approach for the nature of the problem. The research population was defined as first-year students practising boxing at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Babylon for the academic year 2024-2025, totalling 12 students. They were divided into two groups, experimental and control, using the lottery method, with each group consisting of 6 six students. The researcher also employed observation, testing, and measurement, in addition to consulting Arabic and foreign sources. The main findings indicated a clear and significant improvement in the experimental group in physical abilities and basic skills of the students practising boxing. There was a clear advantage of the experimental group over the control group in physical abilities and basic skills of the boxing students. Among the most important recommendations is the necessity to focus on using high-intensity interval training exercises according to precise scientific principles, while considering the regulation of training loads to enhance the efficiency of students practising boxing.
