Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effect of mental endurance training according to the BET model on motor response speed and touch accuracy in the thrusting movement of foil fencers. The researcher used the experimental method suitable for the nature of the research. The experiment was conducted on a sample of third-year students practising fencing in the academic year (2024-2025), totalling 16 practitioners. They were divided into two groups (control and experimental), each consisting of 8 practitioners. Homogeneity and equivalence between the two groups were conducted on the variables under study. The researcher used the following statistical methods: mean, standard deviation, paired samples t-test, and independent samples t-test. The researcher reached the following conclusions:
- Mental, physical, and technical endurance training showed clear effectiveness in improving skill performance indicators (touch accuracy) among foil fencers.
- The training contributed to reducing motor response time, reflecting an improvement in motor abilities in the experimental group compared to the control group.
