Wheat is the important cereal throughout the world Complete bunt of wheat is caused by Tilletia foetida is a most prominent disease of wheat. A research field study was conducted at the Institute of Agricultural Research, Sariab Quetta. To evaluate the effectiveness of fungicides; five seed-dressing synthetic fungicides were evaluated viz., Thiophenate, Vibrax, Success, Definite, and Protocol and including control/untreated for comparison with treatments. The results revealed Vibrax showed (2.66%) level of infection followed Thiophenate (4.00%), Definite (4.66%) Protocol (5.00%) and Success (16.33%) while (8.00%) infection was observed in control/untreated group. The percentage of disease incidence was recorded as follows: Vibrax, (76.20%) Followed by Thiophenate (82.40%), Definite (86.33%) Protocol, (88.40%) and Success (91.20%) while the untreated control showed (93.40) disease incidence. Similarly, the application of seed-dressing synthetic fungicides showed the significant findings in all studied parameter and the grain yield was observed (4084.00kg/ha) maximum in treatment of Vibrax followed by Thiophenate with (3763.33kg/ha) yield, Definite, Protocol and Success treatment showed (3500.00 kg/ha), (3333.33kg/ha) and (3176.67kg/ha) respectively however control was observed with (2933.33kg/ha) yield. It was concluded that among the fungicides, Vibrax was the most effective followed by Thiophenate, particularly in controlling this seed-borne disease and recommended for seed-dressing effective management of complete bunt of wheat.
