Abstract

Present study was conducted using thirty-two rabbits at Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam, Sindh. Rabbits were randomly assigned to 4 dietary treatments in a completely randomized design. Four diets were formulated including the control (basal diet), diet 2 (prebiotics: Biotronic® at 4kg/ton), diet 3 (probiotics: Biovet®-YC at 500g/ton) and diet 4 (symbiotics: the combination of both Biotronic® and Biovet®-YC at recommended rate above). 05 rabbits from each group were randomly selected for collection of blood samples. Collected samples were used for the determination of complete blood count by Hematological analyzer. The total protein concentration in rabbit blood was determined using the biuret method. Albumin concentration in the blood of rabbits was determined using the bromocresol green (BCG) method. Globulins concentration (Glob) in serum was computed by subtracting albumin concentration from total Proteins. Albumin to globulin ratio (A/G) was calculated according to Kaneko (1989). The ALT, AST, urea, creatinine, was measured using a Biosystems analyzer (Human Company Germany).
