This study explores the resurgence of Sufism in the contemporary era and its increasing global appeal beyond the Muslim world. Rooted in the spiritual essence of Islam, Sufism emphasizes love, humility, tolerance and inner purification. In modern times, when humanity faces existential crises, materialism and spiritual alienation, Sufism re-emerges as a powerful response. The paper investigates the socio-cultural and intellectual factors that contribute to this revival, highlighting the role of spiritual practices, literary traditions and artistic expressions in transmitting Sufi values across borders. Beyond the Muslim world, Sufism resonates particularly in the West where traditional religious structures have weakened, and individuals search for spiritual fulfillment. Its universal message of love and interfaith harmony provides a meaningful framework for dialogue among diverse cultures and religions. Moreover, the establishment of Sufi centers in Europe and North America has facilitated the transmission of these teachings, offering a path of spiritual discipline and inner peace. The research also critically examines challenges such as the commercialization of Sufi practices, the reduction of Sufism to mere cultural performances and its detachment from its Islamic theological foundation. By addressing these issues, the study emphasizes the necessity of preserving the authentic spirit of Sufism. Ultimately, the paper concludes that the resurgence of Sufism holds significant global relevance, not only for Muslim societies but also as a universal response to the moral and spiritual void in the modern world.
