Abstract This study was done to evaluate the efficacy of pain alleviation in frozen shoulder using a combination of electrical modalities as TENS, Ultrasound and hot packs versus exercise comprising of glenohumeral mobilization and stretching exercises. Sample (n = 30; 16 female, 14 male) was selected through random sampling. Middle aged male and female with primary idiopathic frozen shoulder were included in the study, the subject's pain was assessed both pre and post study on visual analogue scale (VAS). Electrotherapy was found to be more effective than exercise therapy alone for pain modulation in frozen shoulder.
