Abu al-Hasan Ali al-Nadawi and Muhammad Iqbal are important figures in Islamic history, and they showed interest in the Palestinian cause and adopted similar positions towards it.
Abu al-Hasan Ali al-Nadawi, the prominent Islamic thinker and religious scholar, looked deeply at the issue of Palestine. He saw it as more than just a territorial dispute, but rather an issue that represented cohesion between monotheistic religions and was affected by world politics. He called for the unity of the nation, renunciation of bloody conflicts, and interest in the Palestinian cause as a challenge to Muslims. He showed his solidarity with Palestine by visiting Jerusalem and expressing his position with sympathy and support.
On the other hand, Muhammad Iqbal, the poet and philosopher, was promoting Islamic awareness and adherence to Islamic values. He expressed his concern about the influence of the Zionists and settlements on Palestine, and stressed the importance of resisting them and defending the land. He described the Jews in a poetic manner as locusts that devastate and drain, and this is evident in his representation of their attempts to illegal immigration and their seizure of the land.
