During World War First (WWI), new avenues in social sciences were discovered. Germans treated all the prisoners of war according to their religion, language and culture. Hindustan, a camp newspaper which is the first Urdu newspaper from Germany started for Indian Muslim prisoners in 1915 and continued till 1918. During these four years 84 issues of this newspaper were published and distributed among the Muslim prisoners of wars in Wunsdorf and Zossen camps in Germany to propagate the idea of jihad. This article attempts to know the motivation and objectives  of Germans behind this newspaper. Themes of this newspaper will also be analyzed and categorized
