Abstract

It is a matter of common observation that in family courts, more often than not, the cases about inheritance involve disputes regarding wills and gifts. It is, therefore, necessary for lawyers and judges to have a sound understanding of the interplay of the principles of inheritance, wills and gifts. This paper explains some of these fundamental principles and the way they interact with each other.
