Aim and Objectives The Nucleus is an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal that provides a platform for publishing high-quality research in multidisciplinary sciences at international level. It facilitates the dissemination of scientific knowledge and fosters academic collaboration across diverse disciplines within the natural and applied sciences. Scope The Nucleus invites original scholarly works from all disciplines within the natural and applied sciences, promoting research that advances the understanding and application of scientific principles. Peer Review Process The Nucleus follows a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that both reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Each submission is reviewed by at least two field experts, who evaluate manuscripts based on originality, scientific quality, relevance, clarity, and adherence to ethical standards. The review process typically takes between 4 to 8 weeks, with reviewers selected based on their expertise. Publication Frequency and Charges Frequency: The Nucleus is published biannually, offering both electronic and print formats. Charges: There are no publication fees at any stage, including submission, peer review, and publication. Authors can publish their work in The Nucleus without any cost. This policy ensures that The Nucleus remains a cost-free platform for authors to share their research with a global audience. Open Access Policy All content in The Nucleus is freely accessible. Users can read, download, copy, distribute, and link to the articles without charges, provided proper citation is given to the original authors and source. Abstracting and Indexing The Nucleus is indexed in several prominent databases, enhancing its visibility and accessibility within the global research community. These databases include: IP Indexing ISI (International Scientific Indexing) DRJI (Directory of Research Journals Indexing) Google Scholar ResearchGate In addition to being widely indexed, The Nucleus is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan in Category Y, ensuring it meets high academic and quality standards. ISSN and eISSN Print ISSN: 0029-5698 Online ISSN: 2306-6539 Plagiarism Policy The Nucleus strictly adheres to HEC's plagiarism policy, rejecting submissions with more than 19% matching content (excluding references). Plagiarism is considered a serious ethical violation. Copyright and Licensing Policy For all articles published in The Nucleus, copyright is retained by the authors. Articles are licensed under an open access Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0 ) meaning that anyone may download and read the paper for free. In addition, the article may be reused and quoted provided that the original published version is cited properly. These conditions allow for maximum use and exposure of the work while ensuring that the authors receive proper credit. Reproducing Published Material from other Publishers Authors must obtain permission to reproduce any published material (figures, schemes, tables, or any extract of a text) which does not fall into the public domain or for which they do not hold the copyright. The authors should request permission from the copyright holder (usually the publisher, please refer to the imprint of the individual publications to identify the copyright holder). Permission is required for: Other publishers published your works and for which you did not retain copyright Substantial extracts from anyone's works or a series of works Use of Tables, Graphs, Charts, Schemes, and Artworks if they are unaltered or slightly modified Photographs for which you do not hold the copyright Permission is NOT required for: Reconstruction of your table with data already published elsewhere; in this case, you must cite the source as "Data from..." or "Adapted from..." Reasonably short quotes are considered fair use and, therefore, do not require permission. Graphs, Charts, Schemes, and Artworks completely redrawn by the authors and significantly changed beyond recognition do not require permission. Obtaining Permission To avoid unnecessary delays in the publication process, you should start obtaining permission as early as possible. If in any doubt about the copyright, apply for permission. The Nucleus cannot publish material from other publications without their permission. The copyright holder may instruct you on the form of acknowledgment to be followed; otherwise, follow the below style: "Reproduced with permission from [author], [book/journal title]; published by [publisher], [year].' at the end of the caption of the Table, Figure or Scheme".
