This article aims to study the texts of the holy Qur’an and Bible regarding the Prophet ‘Isa’s (ʿalaīhi al-salāam) birth (wilāadat) and ascension (rafaʿ)to the heaven. A close reading of the of Gospels reveals that there is not only contradiction in their accounts concerning the birth and ascention of Jesus to heaven rather these narratives take on a mythical form, moreover these accounts also appear to be contrary to the ground and historical facts. While the Qur’an also presents an account of the birth and ascention of ‘Isa (ʿalaīhi al-salāam) that is relatable at times and contrary to the biblical perspective of the birth and death ‘Isa (ʿalaīhi al-salāam). It is the intention of the authors to present a comparative analysis of the statements of the Holy Qur'an and the Bible regarding the narratives of birth and ascention of ‘Isa (ʿalaīhi al-salāam. The research is based on the comparative and analytical methodology.
