There is no doubt that every society has different customs and traditions related to Mahar. People follow these customs and traditions very strictly. However, there are some of these customs and traditions which are against the principles of Sharia. Chitrali society also has many rituals and customs related to Mahar which are followed by the people here. And sometimes differences arise in the society due to the fact that people do not know the Sharia rules of these customs and traditions. In this research paper, the rituals and customs found in Chitral related to Mahar will be presented in Sharia perspective so that it becomes clear to the people that which ritual is in accordance with Sharia principles and which ritual is against Sharia principles.
To present the rituals and customs related to Mahar in Chitral from a Sharia perspective, clarifying which are in accordance with Sharia principles and which are against them.
