Abstract

This research paper seeks to analyze a prospect leading to the polarization of American society associated with the US presidential elections of year 2016. Unanticipated success of the Republican candidate Mr. Donald Trump has raised various questions about the future of the US society in general and the world in particular. The start of election process as well as its aftermath has implied a vivid divergence in the US society and a retreat from the multi-ethnic stance of the country. Present study will try to find out many questions i.e. is the America society by avoiding to elect a female president has surrendered in front of racial extremists and radical elements? Whether the US assimilation is going to be lost its multiethnic identity in the hands of white chauvinists? This paper has endeavored to draw the expected fault lines of domestic and international politics of US in the context divergence in American society in the wake of Presidential elections resulted in triumph of Trump administration.
