Dishonoring to the religious personality is a common issue in the humanity. In Islam, the dishonoring to the holy Prophet (peace be on him) is a punished matter which was discussed in sīrah literature. Kitāb ‘l-Shifā seems to be guiding us regarding the punishment for insulting the Prophet (peace be on him). A person who, with or without intention, is a bad sign for the Messenger of Allah, (peace be on him) or who explicitly says something that is injurious to saying bad words to the prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) or his dishonoring. Anyone who says such words because of punishment he will be killed. Such things in which there is any doubt he will be suspended on the one who narrated them, but the one who narrated them they will also be punished, but it will not be the death penalty. This article briefed the causes of dishonoring and way out of punishment for the person who dishonors the holy Prophet (peace be on him).
To discuss the punishment for insulting the Holy Prophet (peace be on him) as outlined in Kitab al-Shifa, including the causes of dishonoring and ways out of punishment.

The article interprets "Kitab al-Shifa" as a guide for the punishment of insulting the Prophet. It differentiates between explicit insults leading to death and doubtful statements that result in a lesser punishment for the individual and the narrator. The text also briefly touches upon the causes of dishonoring and potential ways to avoid punishment.
Insulting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) is a punishable offense in Islam. The punishment for explicit insults, whether intentional or not, is death. For cases with doubt, the punishment is suspension, and the narrator of such doubtful accounts will also be punished, but not with death.
The study concludes that Islam prescribes severe penalties for disrespecting the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him), with the severity of the punishment depending on the nature and certainty of the insult.
