Keywords: Music Contemporary Singers Sidhu Mosse Wala Punjabi Colors of Punjab Bulleh Shah Shah Hussain
In the unique colors of Punjab, there is also a hue of music that gives Punjab a fresh and unmatched understanding. In contemporary times, the image of Punjab that most singers present through Punjabi songs is not the true picture of Punjab, as portrayed by poets like Waris, Bulleh Shah, and Shah Hussain. As we observe, in Ahmad Rahi's songs, we see a beautiful and vivid representation of Punjab's culture, such as "Nimi Nimi waa  wagde," "chala pye mardi jawani jatti heeer di," "vanhjli waldaya," "meri chuni dian rashami tanda "main cham cham nachaa," "zulf di thandi thandi thaa Dholana," Ahmad Rahi not only captures the vibrant colors of Punjab but also presents a form of resistance. Looking beyond all this, the modern image of Punjab, as seen through today's Punjabi singers, doesn't quite align with reality. However, Sidhu Moosewala, through his unique poetry and music, speaks of Punjab and its identity in a profound way. This is why no individual of today's generation can claim to not know Sidhu Moosewala.
