Jorge Francisco Luis Borges is an Argentine Short-Story Writer, Poet, Essayist and Translator regarded as a key figure of Spanish Language and International Literature. A Universal History of Iniquity (1935), Fictions (1944), Artifices (1944), The Aleph (1949), The Maker (1960), In Praise of Darkness (1969), Brodie’s Report (1970) , The Book of Sand (1975) and Shakespeare’s Memory (1983) are the collections of his Short-Stories. Borges’s works have contributed to philosophical Literature and the fantasy genre, and have had a major influence on the magic realistic movement of 20th century Latin American literature. This article is a review of the stories of Borges translated by Zaif Syed(Zafar Syed).
