Abstract

Praise be to Allah, and prayer be upon the holiest Prophet and messenger of Allah.This is a research article entitled as the Ibn Tahir and his contributions in Morphology. Abu- Bakr Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Tahir known as khidab is one of the most notable grammarians in Undlus. He had a good knowledge of Grammar and a deep understanding of Sibawaghi’s Book; (Al-Kitab) however, he was not so well known at that time.
He was exalted to high place because of his great work and services for Arabic Language and Literature. So it is decided to explore his work and personality to the Arabic language learners and researchers and pave away for more intension of researchers.
His valuable contributions to Morphology and Grammar are vast. His pupil’s (Ibn Karoof) book entitled Tanqeeh al – Albaab fi Sharh Gawaamidh Al- Kitaab ((Purification of the Minds in the Explanation of the Mysteries of the Book)), has some of his Views.
Firstly; the study falls into an Introduction of Ibn Tahir.
Secondly; it dealt with his views in morphology. It is focused on his grammar contributions
