Abstract

The aim of the research was to analyze the conditions of androcentrism and attitudes towards female homosexuality in heterosexual and homosexual women of Campeche, Mexico. 54 women participated, 27 heterosexuals and 27 homosexuals. Two questionnaires were used, one to measures the androcentric condition of women, and other to measure attitudes towards female homosexuality. Results show an androcentric condition in women in general at a high level (38.9%), while negative attitudes towards homosexual women in the same way are at a high level (38.9%), so the relationship between the androcentric model in which women live in general (linked to prejudices towards lesbians), will have a favorable or unfavorable result in the attitude towards female homosexuality indirectly, without difference by their sexual orientation.
