Abstract

In developing and under developed countries humanitarian organization need help both from commercial and philanthropic entities in order to respond efficiently and effectively. Due to the involvement of large number of humanitarian actors, proper coordination among them becomes very difficult. The coordination mechanism is still in its infancy stage in humanitarian environment as compared to commercial one. In this study we have reviewed the current coordination challenges faced by humanitarian organizations while dealing with commercial and philanthropic entities. Moreover, different coordination mechanism suitable in different scenarios and benefits obtained by practicing these techniques has also been discussed while keeping in view the commercial and philanthropic entities.
