Abstract

It gives me a great pleasure to write these few lines on the occasion of 60th anniversary of JPMA certainly a very happy occasion to see that by measuring efforts of those who started this journal has borne ample fruit and has earned world wide recognition. The initial stalwarts of PMA like Dr. Z Hashmi, Dr. Syed S. H. Naqui, Dr. Sarwar Zuberi and many other with a vision and a mission not only to advance scientific knowledge and information but encourage the medical workers and researchers to pen down their efforts and research into the publication of this journal.
I know what times in the early years the journal used to face financial difficulty but the indomitable pursuit and hope of keeping the frame of knowledge burning against all odds is a tribute to everyone who is contributed in continuing the publication of this scientific publication. I would also acknowledge the tremendous effort put by Dr. Sarwar Zuberi in getting the journal recognized in indexus medicus which boosted the scientific material to be published in this journal.
I would like to congratulate and compliment everyone who has been associated in the efforts of regular publication of the journal which has enhanced the value of medical association and medical fraternity. I pray for its progress in future.
