Abstract

It gives me great pleasure to write on the occasion of 60th anniversary of Journal of Pakistan Medical Association.
JPMA has the privilege of being the first indexed journal of Pakistan. This is entirely attributed to the hard work, dedication and commitment of the Editorial Board and staff of the journal. Late Dr Sarwar J. Zubairi, the past Editor of the journal is worth mentioning who worked selflessly, day and night to set standards which are maintained despite the hard time and financial constraints faced by JPMA time to time.
I congratulate the present team of JPMA who has worked hard to improve it and we feel proud when people out side Pakistan talk about JPMA with respect. I hope that Journal will keep its standard to remain an internationally renowned journal.
