Abstract

ABSTRACT Diameters of deodar (Cedrus deodara) trees were measured at 1 (30.48 Cm) interval above ground level up to 7 feet (2.13 meters). Each set of diameters showed a strong linear correlation with diameter at breast height. Straight line regression equations were developed for each set of diameter separately using sets of diameter at different heights as independent variables and diameter breast height as dependent variable. DBH was estimated from these equations against diameter range from 6 to 60 inches for British units and 2Cm to 136cm. for Metric Units at different heights of stem from ground level up to 7 feet (2.13 meter).
