This research aims to explore the dark life of Heera Mandi Lahore, Pakistan. The area has a rich cultural and social history and has been the subject of many literacy and artistic works. The district has been associated with social stigmas and negative stereotypes. This research paper explores the socioeconomic, cultural and political aspects of Heera Mandi and shed light on the lives of the sex workers who work and live in the area. The paper draws on ethnographic research conducted with the key stakeholders, including sex workers, community leaders, and policymakers. The findings of the study highlight the challenges faced by the sex workers in Heera Mandi, including discrimination, violence, and lack of access to basic services. The study also identifies some of the initiatives and interventions that have been implemented to improve the lives of the sex workers in the area, including vocational training programs and healthcare services.
