This research article delves into the intricate landscape of environmental jurisprudence in Pakistan, with a particular focus on air quality regulations. Beginning with an exploration of the national scenario, the study meticulously examines the Environmental Jurisprudence of Pakistan, shedding light on pivotal aspects such as National Environmental Quality Standards, Air Quality Index, and the consequential impact on life expectancy. A critical analysis of legislative instruments, including the role of the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency and the Environmental Protection Ordinance, is presented, evaluating their effectiveness in addressing atmospheric pollution.
