The article describes the development of an indigenous Sexual Harassment Experience Questionnaire (SHEQ) which measures the women's experiences of sexual harassment at the workplaces of Pakistan. Its 35 items are divided into Gelfand, Fitzgerald, and Drasgow's (1995) three dimensions of harassment: Gender Harassment, Unwanted Sexual Attention, and Sexual Coercion which are the reformulation of Till's (1980) jive types of sexual harassment. The procedure followed for the development of SHEQ is same as that of Fitzgerald et al.'s (1988) Sexual Experience Questionnaire (SEQ). The results of the several studies suggest that SHEQ possesses sufficient reliability and validity-for research use. SHEQ may be useful for increasing understanding of the experiences of sexual harassment faced by women at workplaces. It may also have a role in the development and evaluation of programs designed to prevent or alleviate harassing behaviors.
