Instead of great prominence and strong management will to implement business process re-engineering (BPR), many BPR implementations report failure. However, the dynamic changes in the business environment stress business stakeholders and require some kind of re-engineering. The absolute necessity is to understand BPR's key accelerators and obstacles deeply. Along with technical and administrative issues, employee engagement and perception are equally essential to successful BPR. The current study explores the impact of organizational settings, leadership support, and competitive pressure on employee perceptions of BPR. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between the enterprise's perception of BPR and its competitive environment, organizational structure, and culture. The study results can help organizations that want to increase the efficiency of BPR implementations.
