This article has been developed purposively to shed light on the role of micro-credit on women's economic empowerment in Pakistan. Previously there was a lack of evidence related to economic women empowerment with the reference of Pakistan. Moreover, previous studies mainly indicated the impact of micro-credit on women's empowerment which is a generic and wider concept. This study investigated specifically the role of micro-credit over women's economic empowerment by conceptualizing the work through knowledge gaps, evidence gaps, and methodological gaps. Hence, the significance of this study has many folds and it is not only beneficial for academicians and researchers but may also have its roots in effective policymaking. Data for this study has been collected through non-probability sampling and the sample size of the study is 385 females who availed micro-credit purposively for their financial and social improvement. Analysis has been made by using structural equation modeling with SMART-PLS and findings of the study reflected the positive association between access to micro-credit on economic women empowerment with the improvement of financial conditions plays a mediating role.
