Abstract

This paper theorizes and empirically tests an integrative model that connects Scientific workflow efficiency, administrative mechanisms, and behavioral agility, in the prediction of sustained organizational performance. Based on several management theories (including scientific management theory, administrative theory and dynamic capability theory), this study examines the relationship between process-oriented improvement, administrative coordination and adaptive employee behaviour for long-term performance improvements. The quantitative methodology was implemented and the data was collected from 380 IT professionals, managers or technical staff in a range of sectors (IT, industry and service) in Pakistan. The developed model was validated using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results suggest that SWE and AM significantly predict SOP, whereas BA partially mediates these associations. The model accounted for 46% of the variance in Behavioral Agility and 62% of the variance in Sustained Performance, supporting a high-level predictive validity. The results confirm the effectiveness of structural efficiency and management systems combined with behavioral adaptability and learning reactivity. Theoretical and practical implications This study, by identifying the negative relationships between perceived AMAI dimensions on components of one’s job, contributes to the OB and AM literatures offering an integrated evidence-based model aimed at bridging technical, managerial, and behavioral aspects for sustainable O effectiveness in dynamic contexts.
