Pakistan frequently faces shortages of critical medications, which directly affect patient care. With an emphasis on ensuring the availability of essential pharmaceuticals in the face of worldwide disruptions, this study explores strategies for creating robust hospital supply chain management systems in Pakistan. For this study, a mixed-methods approach was used to investigate this problem with hospital administrators, pharmacists, and procurement officers. According to the statistics, shortages are caused by a combination of factors such as supplier concentration, currency devaluation, and inadequate inventory management systems. The research emphasizes the need for policy improvements, including closer collaboration between public and commercial partners, more regulatory oversight by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP forthwith), and greater support for domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing.
